Dan Dial to Depart River City Rascals

Dan Dial to Depart River City Rascals

O'Fallon, Mo. -- After seven years serving as Team President, Dan Dial is stepping down from his role with the River City Rascals. Dial has been responsible for the day to day oversight of the business operations which include ticket and corporate sales, marketing, promotions, stadium and concession operations, and communication with city officials. Those responsibilities will now be handled by Rascals GM David Schmoll and the rest of the front office personnel.

During his tenure as Team President, Dial was responsible for several major milestones in the franchise's history. He directly negotiated the first ever stadium naming rights deal which saw CarShield Field replace TR Hughes Ballpark in 2016. Dial was also heavily responsible for the installation of a synthetic turf field in 2017, which has doubled the number of events held annually at the facility in the past two years while dramatically increasing the quality and playability of the field for games. The product on the field has continued to thrive since 2012 under the direction of Manger Steve Brook competing for three Frontier League Championships and consistently fielding teams with a winning record.

"I would like to thank the Rascals ownership for their support over the last seven years as we worked to improve the long-term outlook of the organization and make major improvements to CarShield Field. Although there is still much to be done, I feel the Rascals have an excellent staff in place and the 2019 season will be a great success for the team and our fans," said Dial. "I would also like to thank all of our corporate partners, season ticket holders, players and coaches, and city officials who have supported the organization during my time in O'Fallon. This is a fantastic community and the Rascals are a crowning jewel for summer time family entertainment."

Dial, who began his career in the NBA G League, will be taking the position of President of the Atlanta Hawks new G League affiliate in College Park, Georgia.

With the Rascals regular season beginning on May 9, the best seats for the best nights are selling fast. For information on season tickets, mini plans, or group outings, contact the Rascals box office at (636) 240-2287, email, or message the Rascals on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter.
