Josh just finished his first season as the Director
of Broadcasting and Media Relations for the River City
Rascals in 2007. He is a recent graduate of Lindenwood
University, class of 2007, with a B.A. in Mass Communications.
During Josh’s freshman
and sophomore years, he was a member of the Lindenwood
Lion football and baseball teams and helped the Lion
football program complete their first undefeated regular
season in school history in 2004.
After his sophomore year, Josh
made the move from the playing field to the booth. During
his junior year, he was selected to become the “Voice” of
Lindenwood football and received his first internship
with the St. Louis Rams radio network.
Josh worked as an intern for the Rams during the 2005-06
football season and then transferred over to 550 KTRS
for the remaining of the school year. He then interned
for Sporting News Radio over the summer. Through these
internships Josh learned what it was like to work in the
professional radio business and developed his love for
sports broadcasting.
Over Josh’s junior and senior years he was the “Voice” of
Lindenwood Lion football, basketball and baseball, and
received national honors for his broadcast work through
the National Broadcasting Society. Josh earned a national
grand prize for a sports program, national runner-up for
play-by-play and a regional grand prize for a 30 second
audio promo.
Josh is from Fairbury, Illinois (30 miles north of Bloomington/Normal)
and is a huge Chicago sports fan. Go Cubs, Bears, Bulls,
and of course, GO RASCALS!
